Many people say that we should not keep the ten commandments any more. What does the bible say ? We know that Jesus died for sins and us sinners. Many churches say that there is no more law and that we are under grace.
Could it be that being under grace does not mean not keeping by Gods grace the commandments? Does Gods grace annul any obedience to God ? Does God grace make all people living on earth to be able to go to heaven in any spiritual state they are in ? Can all people go to heaven in their sins ?
Jesus commandments new testament Sin remains the same
One great argument is that sins never changes. Sin was the same in the old testament and sins will remain the same in the new testament times in the which we are living in . All of Jesus commandments new testament times remain the same because God says that He never changes.
PS 89 34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
HE 13 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
God never chances and God cannot change his law. As the law is the expression of what God love, us loving Him and others . And what God hates such as lying stealing ect .
MT 5 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Here Jesus says that nothing from the ten commandments can pass. When we think about it Jesus died for our sins . Al of Jesus commandments new testament are the same as in the old testament . If sin is the transgression of the law. Then all people from old testament times to today are sinners and need the blood of Jesus to cleanse them from sins . To say like many churches and Christians today that the law stopped when Jesus came . It is to say that today there is no more sins . But the definition of sins is the transgression of the law.
1 JN 3 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
The bible is clean . If there was no more law there would be no more sin. If you drive in Germany there is no speed limit . It means you cannot transgress a speed limit law there because there is no speed limit law. If there was no more 10 commandments it would mean that there would be no more sin and sinners. But the new testament is plain and Paul says that people today are even worse than they ever were.
2 TI 3 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
To say there is no more commandments is to say there is no more sin. Also God cannot be unjust in judging someone one way and another person a different way. God cannot say
GOD You two, when do you come from ?
1st sinner The old testament times
GOD Ok you get in heaven You when do you come from ?
2 nd sinner The new testament times
GOD You go to hell
God cannot tell two persons to have different outcomes when they did the same thing but lived in different times. All of Jesus commadments new testament times are the same as before . In fact when Jesus says i give you a new commandment . This commandments was already in the old testament.
Loving God and loving others there two commandments are a concentration of the 10 commandments . The first four commandments tell us to love God. The last six commandments God tells us to love others. Jesus commandments new testament are eternal as God is eternal. Old and New testament is one revelation of God without division .
Jesus commandments new testament apparent contradictions
Some apparent contradictions in the bible are Romans 6 where Paul says we are no more under the law. What does it mean to be under the law, The Jews in the old testament times were under the law. As they had to bring an animal to the sacrifice to receive forgiveness. Yet they were saved by faith in the Messiah to come .
RO 6 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Jesus commandments new testament and old testament are the same . We are not under the condemnation of the law because we do not have to bring animals to the sacrifice. Does it mean we do not have to keep the 10 commandments ? No as if we keep reading the context it says
RO 7 7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. 9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. 10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. 11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. 12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Paul says here after that we can know sin only by the law. The law points us to sin. Paul says the law is holy just and good . It doses not mean that we are saved by keeping the law as we shall see further. But it does not mean either that we do not have to obey God by if righteousness and power in us .
Another verse is Christ is the end of the law. What does the word end mean? The meaning of words in 1611 when the bible was written are very different from the meaning of the words today . Some words like let or refill or end had a different meaning . Let us examine this word in another verse.
RO 10 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Here is seems to say that Jesus ended the law. But seeking further we see that the word end means something else in this instance. Jesus commandments new testament never changed and Jesus is the same forever.
JA 5 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
We see here that the word ends means in 1611 English design, destination, , goal , object, accomplishment . This verse does not mean Christ ended the law . But that the death of Jesus was the accomplishment of the law to have people forgiven and holy before God by the forgiveness of their sins and by God s power called righteousness by faith that is the only solution to have humans keep the law.
GA 3 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Here too Paul uses the same wording as in Romans 6 where it says that we are no longer under the schoolmaster. Does this verse say we do not have to keep the commandments ? No
It is interesting that people read the bible very fast and end up believing false doctrines. We need to take our time when we read the bible . We need to be slow to judge and slow to come to conclusions . We are no longer under the schoolmaster that had us bring animals . Spend out money on our own animals, then kill an innocent animal for sins . We are no longer under this bondage . But as sins never changed then the law cannot be done away .

We are saved by grace and not by works. This is another belief that is the other extreme. Some Christians believe that they are saved by works . Both sides are wrong. Sadly most Christians today the great majority of churches believe there is no more 10 commandments. The other ditch is believing that we are saved by works. Before we explore this topic . Let us see a few more verses about keeping the law. Solomon said that we shall all be judge by the law .

Al people on earth will be judged according to the 10 commandments. Can we be judged if there was no standard to know what was right and wrong? Some people never heard the bible how will God judge them? By their conscience and by what they have known . God talks to our conscience . The bible speaks of a still small voice in the which the Holy Spirit speaks to all humans on earth and shows them the way they should walk. IS 30 21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
Romans 1 says nobody will have any excuse as God speaks to us in our conscience and heart. He tells us what truth is . If we refuse this call we shall have no excuse. Also Romans 1 says Gods creation is another witness i the which God speaks to us . Through nature we know that God exists.
RO 1 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

As sin cannot change and God cannot judge people differently from old and new testament times . Then the law cannot change . As today there are still sinners it means we are breaking Gods law. A few verses about the commandments.
JA 2 Speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty
Luke 16:17 “It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail” Ps 89:34 “My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips” Ps 111:7, 8 “All His precepts [commandments] are sure. They stand fast forever and ever”
The 10 commandments can never be changed.
Mt 5:17, 18 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law. … I did not come to destroy but to fulfil. … Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled”
Ja 2:10 “Whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all” RO 3 20 “By the law is the knowledge of sin”
The knowledge of right and wrong is by the law. This is why churches today who are in a Laodicean state say we do not have to keep the commandments . As they are lead by Satan to teach some lies. Many are children of Jesus and love Jesus with all their hearts. But we need to know clearly what the bible teaches. This topic of Jesus commandments new testament is very important .

Is this verse saying that we do not have to keep the law any more ? No it says that the law was made for evil people . Does it say that the law was made for evil people only ? No when we take the whole bible in context we find out that the bible says we are all sinners. Here it is saying that the outcome of not loving others and not loving God will be the outcome of the law And it will be eternal punishment from the face of God .
If there was no law then God could not take away sinners from heaven . As God wants his children to be safe in heaven. So the law is made to take away sin from heaven is the correct meaning of this verse.
Jesus commandments new testament righteousness by faith
Then what is the outcome of Jesus dying on the cross. It is to have us be forgiven and to keep the lay by His righteousness .
HE 8 10 “I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts” (Hebrews 8:10). RO 8 3 ,4 “God did by sending His own Son … that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us” Once we realize that we are sinners.
Then we can ask God to give us his power . This doctrine is the most wonderful in all the bible it is called righteousness by faith . Even the works are done by God through us .
EPH 2 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Why do we have to keep the commandments if God does them through us . Our work is to believe . We do not keep the commandments once we have Jesus righteousness He keeps them through us . The other fallacy not to fall into is to believe that one is saved by works . The bible is clear we are not saved by works.
When the bible says we are saved by works also . It is meaning that if we love God we will have works to show .
This does not mean we will work to gain our salvation. Jesus commandments new testament and now are the same . Yet if we could save ourselves with our works Why did Jesus had to die on the cross. We cannot be saved by the cross of Jesus and our works at the same time . Also we cannot say there is no more law . As this would be saying there is no more sins the which is a lie .
RO 11 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Many Christians are either confused on the topic of the law and on the other side many are legalists. There are even some who do not believe the law is still valid and who are also legalists. This is a terrible ordeal.
Jesus died for you . By faith you can receive his power to do right the which is called righteousness bu faith . Many do not receive this message as for the human heart they still want to think and believe that there is something good in them to bring to God for their salvation . Our best works are dirty rags the bible says . There is nothing good in us .
This first step is hard to understand for many people who are too proud to humble themselves to realize we are all but men we are all undone. Righteousness by faith is an experience .
