Can we trust our reasoning power and our mind ?This is what most people are doing today . Most people say because most people are doing this, then i can do it too. Also most people believe, because this is wrong the, it must be wrong . But who decides what truth is ?
We read in the great controversy by Ellen g White that the reason why angels fell is because Satan told them that they could have freedom to chose right and wrong . And that their reasoning powers was enough to chose right and wrong .
' Leaving his place in the immediate presence of God, Lucifer went forth to diffuse the spirit of discontent among the angels. Working with mysterious secrecy, and for a time concealing his real purpose under an appearance of reverence for God, he endeavored to excite dissatisfaction concerning the laws that governed heavenly beings, intimating that they imposed an unnecessary restraint. Since their natures were holy, he urged that the angels should obey the dictates of their own will.
He sought to create sympathy for himself by representing that God had dealt unjustly with him in bestowing supreme honor upon Christ. He claimed that in aspiring to greater power and honor he was not aiming at self-exaltation, but was seeking to secure liberty for all the inhabitants of heaven, that by this means they might attain to a higher state of existence. When we go to the source of something we can find answers. People just follow fashions and what people do without understanding the outcome. Sin and evil started by Satan saying that their own reasoning was enough . Let us remember that Satan thought that He was God and they believed that his reasoning was divine. Is human reasoning infallible and trustworthy ? If that is the case and how Satan made good angels fall and become evil angels. ' Can a person trust God and themselves at the same time ? No Can i trust the majority of human reasoning ? No as we do not know much as human beings .
Like a sailor in the midst of the sea . He does not know where he is . He can use his reasoning powers. But the human mind is not powerful enough to know where one is in the midst of the sea . The same way the human mind is not powerful enough to know where we are in the story of life . Can we trust our reasoning power and our mind ? No as human beings did not create truth and cannot decide what truth is .
PR 15 25 'There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. ' Many people on earth follow the minds and reasoning powers of leaders in science, politics and other fields. Not knowing that as human reasoning cannot be trusted, they will fall with them . But the reasoning power of those people seem right . This is where the deception is Can we trust our reasoning power and our mind ? It look true . But it is not, because as we do not have enough information and truth, human beings might have 1 percent of the knowledge in the universe , it is much better to trust God and the bible than human beings.
JN 17 17 'Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.' Is human reasoning infallible and trustworthy ? The only source of truth is the bible . The reason why God gave the bible is exactly because human beings are deceived since the fall of Adam .
JN 8 32 ' And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.' Freedom from lies. Did you know that if you believe something that is false, you become a liar ? Can i trust the majority of human reasoning ? No as we are all responsible to seek and know what truth is . Nobody forces to believe something . Pharisees believed Jesus was not God and they will be destroyed . People at the flood believed Noah was crazy, and they all died in the flood. It is a very serious topic brother and sister .
JN 8 44 47 'You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God. '
Can we trust our reasoning power and our mind ? Satan has the power to speck to our minds, He can make us think things that we think we are the one thinking . This is very deep and Satan can make us feel things give opinions . The person that is not aware of this will be deceived . Do not befouled Satan is much more powerful than humans . And the ones that fall the most are the one who think they are educated. In fact high human education for Satan is like learning the abc .
RO 1 21 'Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:'
Humans profess to be wise, but they compare with themselves. They do not know there are creatures much wiser than they are . It is like the ant thinking she is more stronger than the human . Or the cat who thinks he can beat a lion . By pride people become very foolish . This is linked with dishonesty as whee someone is dishonest and proud they will not arrive at truth . A proud person prefers to remain in his lies than follow the plain truth .
EP 4 14 ' that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting ' Can i trust the majority of human reasoning ? No as even most churches will end up falling from the truth and accepting lies . The whole world will be under evil spirits and doctrines of devils . Only those kept by the bible will be safe. The belief in human reasoning is sweeping millions to eternal destruction .
Yet when you talk to a scientist, his whole philosophy is based on human reasoning. Modern medicine is mostly based on human reasoning . O it is much better to trust in a all wise God who gives us true counsels that lead to the truth .
PS 119 105 ' Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.' The only safe path is to follow the bible and not human reasoning . Can we trust our reasoning power and our mind ? O no as humans are biased, diqhonest, corrupt and mislead.
JE 17 9 ' The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? ' Bible says that nobody can understand how the human heart and reasoning are wicked and deceitful/ This is one of the most important bible text in this study brother. It would be well to memorize it as it can keep you from many human reasoning that can lead astray even to death . Think how many people have died because modern medicine says not to follow Gods health plan and to follow their plan which we know does not take away disease .
Think how many millions of people believe in evolution, when we all know that it is not science and it is a religion believed by faith in diplomas and human reasoning . Think how many people will end up in hell because they have believed this human reasoning philosophy of the theory of evolution .
PR 3 5 'Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. ' Trust in God and the bible We know the bible is true because of archaeology, because of history, because of prophecy , and because of God living in our hearts and his loving presence comforting us .
RE 13 3, 8 ' And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. ' Here we have the sad fact that the whole world will follow human reasoning and the beast . People love to fit in and to follow the multitude .
But it will end bad as they will receive the mark of the beast and the 7 last plagues and be destroyed forever. We have the responsibility to 1 search and know what truth is and to tame time to do so . 2 to now follow the majority when we know they are wrong . Can i trust the majority of human reasoning ? When it contradicts the bible reject it .
RE 18 2 'And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. ' This situation of following the world, most churches will follow society and the majority . Like in the times of Noah, most people trusted in the leaders and the scientist of the day who said. There will never be a flood .
When we ask the question Is human reasoning infallible and trustworthy ? We find out that the world will become very religious again the book of revelation says , but it is will be lead by Satan . Churches around the world ill have rejected the 3 angels message . God will have left those churches who will be filled with demons .
All those churches will continue to preach Jesus and sing to Jesus . Not knowing that they will have received the mark of the beast and are lost forever. Just as the Jews continued to sacrifice lambs in Jerusalem after Jesus died. Not knowing that the presence of God was not in their midst .
