The names in prophecy are spiritual . There is a law in bible prophecy that if Babylon does not refer to literal babylon . If Sodom does not refer to the literal city of Sodom today . Because they do not exist . So these cities in prophecy cannot be refered to a literal city in the world today . So these names are prophetic .

In Ezequiel it talks about Meshech and Tubal . Do these cities exits today ? No . They the bible cannot refer to these cities are literal but propheticallçy . Prophecy is symbolic and not literal . Almost everything in the book of revelation are symbols and prophetic images . Not literal . The 3 beast, the 2 witnesses, the image of Daniel 2 , the wild horse of re 9 . In prophecy when a symbol is given . We find the meaning of this symbol byt seeking it in other parts of the bible .

IS 28 13 ' But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. ' For example what is a beast in bible prophecy ? Can we say it is a literal beast ? No What does the bible say .

DA 7 21 ' The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. ' Jesus spake in parables , people who did not know the bible well did not undestand . Or only God could make those he wanted to understand Jesus parables. In bible prophecy we have different prophetic names . Like Babylon, Sodom , Ehypt. But we see in revelation 11 God says these names are not literal, for the literal earthly cities do not exist anymore . But their sense is prophetic .

RE 11 8 ' And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. '

RE 17 5 ' And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth. '

EZ 32 13 ' Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were thy merchants: they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass in thy market. '

Can we say Jesus is hear speaking about literal city of babylon and the literal country of Sodom ? No Sodom did not exist in the times of John or in our days . Can we say these verses speak of literal Tubal, Meshech ? No these cities do not exist anymore . Can we say babylon in prophecy is the literal city of babylon ? No Can we travel to babylon to visit this city today ? No Then , like in revelation 11 Jesus says These cities the sense is spiritual or prophetic . End time prophecy and current events says that we need to understand spiritual things not literally but spiritually .

If all names in prophecy are prophetic , then can we break the prophetic rule and say Israel is literal ? No . As a prophetic rule if all names in prophecy are prophetic, then Israel meaning is not the literal country of Israel but something else . Paul says Israel is todays church . The last bible prophet Ellen G White says all prophets spake more for our times than for their times .

' Never are we absent from the mind of God. God is our joy and our salvation. Each of the ancient prophets spoke less for their own time than for ours, so that their prophesying is in force for us. ' MR 522

RO 15 4 ' For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. '

MT 24 15 ' When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand: '

We conclude that in prophecy are many symbols . To undestand these symbols we go to some other part of the bible to find the meaning . Prophetic names are not literal but prophetic . They are symbols . As babylon is spiritual babylon and not the literal city of babylon which is in ruins . Then Israel is not the country israel but the christians of the end times .

In Romans 11 Paul says he laments and wants deeply to save some of the Jews of Israel . If the Jews were saved today for being born a Jew. Then Paul would be making a mistake and he would not be inspired of God , when he says he wants to save some of them , meaning all Jews are lost until they accept Jesus . End time prophecy and current events says Isrel today is the church . Especially the remnant church of revelation 12 .

RO 11 14 ' If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. ' Paul here says Israel all Jews are lost. Like all atheists are lost , until they give their hearts to Jesus , and accept the ransom payed for their sins . Then their sins can be forgiven .

RO 11 28 ' As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes. ' Here Paul says Israel are enemies of the gospel . Of course not all of them , because some Jews like Peter , John did accept Jesus . But Paul says as a nations they have rejected Jesus until today . Can the enemies of the gospel enter heaven as enemies ? No they would need to repent first . Btu for now Israel as a nations unstead of being saved are totally lost .

RO 11 26 ' And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: ' Paul cannot spend the whole chapters explaining that Israel is separated from God and lost . And then say all Israel will be saved . The meaning is that all Jews of Israel who want to be saved can be saved . Or all Jews who are apointed for salvation will be saved . Or all Israelites who accept Jesus will be saved .

RO 11 2 ' God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel saying, ' Here Paul is saying God does not forbid entrance to any Jew who accepts Jesus . God could have said any Jew will be forbidden to enter heaven because they killed of Jesus on the cross . But Paul says no . All Jews are not bound to hell . Those Jews who accept Jesus can be saved . God has not cast away or closed heaven to all Israelites forever .

In end time prophecy and current events , when we take the next verse we see Paul says . There are only 7000 Jews who are left for salvation . 7000 Jews out of millions is not much . Peter says , the writings of Paul are complex and many twist them to their iwn destruction .

RO 11 4 ' But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. 5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. '

2 PE 3 16 ' As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. He does so , that we may study deeper the bible .

An honest person knows the bible never contracits itself . A dishonest person would take a verse that suits them , and close their eyes to the verses that seem to say contrary . But an honest person will study those verses which are called apparent contradictions . See they are only apparent contradictions . Here an honest perosn can see that 1 Paul spends the whole chapter saying Israel is lost , separated from God .

Then why would Paul say Israel is not cast away and all Israel will be saved . If it is so then it would be a contradiction and Paul would be speaking nonsense . All Israel will be saved, in the sense that all Jews who accept Jesus will be saved . 2 God has not cast away his people , in the sense that all Jews are not forbidden to accept Jesus and go to heaven . God has not closed heaven to all Jews under all circumstances .

RO 11 17 ' And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; 18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. ' Israel the branch has been cut away God has put in the tree in the place of Israel the christians . How can Israel be saved ?

RO 11 15 ' For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? ' Israel can be saved vy accepting Jesus and not remaining in unbelief and rebellion . How do we know Israel has unbelief . Why did they fall ? From what did they fall ? From truth . How can we fall ? But rejecting truth and light from God . Can one be in good standing with God by falling ? No a person who rejects truth is not longer in good standing with God ?.

RO 11 19 ' Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. 20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear ' Israel can return to God as individual but not by birth, but by accepting Jesus .

RO 11 22 ' Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. 23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again. '

' The city of Jerusalem is no longer a sacred place. The curse of God is upon it because of the rejection and crucifixion of Christ. ' The children born in Israel of Jews are no longer the chldren of God . But the children of faith in Jesus are the children of God .
