What does the bible mean when it says Babylon is fallen ? It is very important to understand what it means as Jesus says in Revelation that most modern churches have fallen . That if someone is in Babylon then they will not receive Gods blessing and are in fact worshiping Satan . In fact the bible says that those who are in Babylon will receive the mark of the beast and the wrath of God unmixed with mercy
In revelation 14 it says Gods anger or wrath will be poured out on those who worship the beast . It means that many Christians go to church and read the bible , but they follow this world, the customs of this world, the way people talk, the way people behave. And deep down they follow bible only because because of their family of society tradition . But their whole lives is governed by society and not by following God . So God will send this test which is the 3 angels message .
All people will have to take position for society or on Gods side . What does the bible say about the fall of Babylon ? Those who refuse Gods message will continue to go to church and worship God . But like in the times of Noah, those who refused to enter the ark , kept on going to church and worshiping God . But as they refused the truth , God rejected them also . What will happen to those who are fallen ? They will receive Gods anger it says here
RE 14 ' If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. ' God s wrath was always poured out with mercy .
Something will make God so angry that he will not send judgments and punishments on today s society with mercy . This punishment will be without mercy . This is quite incredible why is that ? It is because people would have preferred to follow this world, this society rather than God . We all have to chose truth or lies. But almost the whole world is taken away by the strong current of evil . It is like a very strong wave . And people are just following what people and influential men are telling them is truth . Rather than seeking in the bible to know what is truth .
The authority of the bible is put aside . People will not care anymore what the bible say . In searching what does the bible say about the fall of Babylon ? What will everything be to most people is human reasoning, and human thoughts and opinions . This is why God will be angry , because the frail human being will be worshiped like God . This is already happening today . And as no one can worship a men then it is abomination for God to have society follow human reasoning rather that God .
Like in the times of Noah, people followed the leaders who said . Do not be afraid of the warning of Noah, there will be no flood.. Our scientist know very well that rain never existed on earth and there cannot be movements of water such as to destroy the earth . God s wrath in the times of Noah was that people followed human reasoning rather than following God . All honest persons will follow the truth and God . This means that when a person does that, they are dishonest and have received strong delusion . So those who are fallen will receive 7 last plagues, terrible ? Like those in Egypt in the times of Moses .
GE 6 '5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.' What does the bible say about the fall of Babylon ? It means Christianity as a whole will have departed from God , apart from the remnant church described in revelation 14 who keeps the sabbath and has a true prophet called Ellen G White .
They wlil receive the mark of the beast. A mark that that will mean they will be sealed to be destroyed forever. And they will receive strong delusion, they will continue to go to church, yet God will not be there anymore. Like in the times of Jesus, after Jesus was crucified, the Jews continued to offer lambs as sacrifices, but it was in vain, and God had departed from the temple .
2 TH 2 '11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: '
MT 27 ' 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent '
RE 14 '9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, '
Falling means departing from the truth . When a church or someone , little by little starts believing pagan and false beliefs. They end up believing mostly false beliefs and cannot be called the church that stands on the truth . Paul says a true church stands , it is a pillar. A church that leaves the truth , is a fallen church .
When Galatians started to believe and teach that they were saved by works. Paul told them that they were fallen, they were teaching lies. That a man was saved by works . It is a false belief and Paul said that Jesus was of none effect to them if they could save themselves, the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross was useless. As they made themselves gods . G1 5 '4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. '
In this example they fall from one belief. In the case of Babylon, it is all christian churches except the remnant 3 angels message church or re 14 that leave the truth . Not one belief, but those fallen churches have accepted so many false beliefs, that they are in the situation of being totally separate from Jesus , yet claiming to be Christians .
No wonder many people are disgusted of what happens in churches, the money, the false teachings, the behavior, the slaying people on stage all the show that has nothing to do with Jesus . People see that and say it this is Christianity and Jesus i want none of it . They do not know that this is not Jesus, this is the fallen churches and Jesus is not in their midst .
So one thing you do not want is to be in a church or believe things that are not in the bible and ending up believing mostly false teachings that are not from God . Or following society to the point of leaving Jesus and his teaching s.
